Try to drink at least eight glasses of water each day. Avoid spending too much time in the sun, as this really contributes to dry and damaged skin. If you must spend time in the sun, use a good sunscreen. Eat a diet rich in fruits and vegetables. Showers are better for our skin than baths because our bodies are lying in the hot water for as long. On the subject of hot water—avoid it as much as possible, use warm water instead and lessen your showers to no longer than 5 to 10 minutes. I know the idea of a long shower sounds great, what it does to your skin is not good. It is not good care for dry skin. It’s amazing how following these simple guidelines will make a huge difference in your skin.
